ANAMET member of Sidenor Group, is looking for a Plant Health & Safety Engineer, for its premises in Aspropyrgos. With 60 years of industry know-how and expertise Sidenor is the largest steel industry in Greece and constitutes the steel production and trading segment of Viohalco. Sidenor Group is a leading steel producer in Southeastern Europe with 4 production units in Greece, Bulgaria and North Macedonia.

As a Plant Health & Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with H&S policy and procedures, while actively promoting the site’s H&S culture, reporting directly to Health, Safety and Environment Senior Manager.

 

What you will need to do:

 

  • Control and maintain a safe and clean working environment by securing those procedures, rules and regulations are followed

  • Promote and enhance health & safety culture across the site

  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and standards through audits, inspection, analysis of findings and implementation of corrective actions

  • Support the development and implementation of Health & Safety initiatives in line with legislation and company standards

  • Assist in the maintenance of the Health & Safety Management System (ISO 45001)

Conduct accident and incident investigation & ensures the implementation of an effective event management

  • Support Plant H&S Manager on developing and delivering Health & Safety training programsCollaborate closely with the Operations Manager and the entire production and maintenance teams to ensure that all operational activities are planned, coordinated, and executed safely, while supporting production performance and operational efficiency objectives. 

 

Your Profile:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mining, Chemical Engineering or relevant field

  • Up to 2 years’ experience in similar positions

  • Familiarity with Greek legislation and safety management system ISO 45001 will be considered an asset

  • Excellent command of English language

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Willingness to work in a challenging industrial environment

  • Ability to creatively solve complex problems with continuous improvement
