What you'll do
- Supervise Machine Shop team leaders and operators to ensure components meet design specifications
- Organize and monitor shift schedules and advise team leaders on technical matters
- Coordinate with other department supervisors to resolve production flow issues
- Evaluate subordinate employee performance
- Conduct time studies and cost analysis to optimize processes
- Ensure production drawings, bills of materials, and production orders are accurate and understood
- Address equipment needs and follow up on maintenance and repairs
- Troubleshoot and resolve in-process production issues
- Train new employees and support facility layout and workflow improvements
Key requirements
- 3+ years' experience
- Mechanical engineering and manufacturing production
- Machine shop operations, sheet metal processing equipment, and solid-part processing equipment
- Production drawings, bills of materials, and production orders
- Time studies, cost analysis, production troubleshooting, and workflow optimization
- English language and Microsoft Office
- Rotating shift work
