Mechanical Engineer – Designer (Athens)
Scope
The Mechanical Engineer – Designer is responsible for designing mechanical and electromechanical products based on customer requirements. The role includes testing, research, and development of manufacturing and assembly methods.
Primary Responsibilities
- Designs mechanical and electromechanical products based on specifications and operational feedback.
- Prepares and manages technical documentation, including Bills of Materials.
- Conducts feasibility and product capability tests.
- Designs and improves equipment and processes for fabrication, assembly, and installation.
- Ensures product quality through testing methods and process verification.
- Compiles technical reports using test data and performance trends.
- Provides technical support by responding to engineering inquiries.
- Assists technicians and supports their training on assigned projects.
- Maintains up-to-date technical knowledge through continuous learning.
- Supports team and project goals as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Polytechnic School); Master’s degree is a plus.
- Prior engineering experience in a machine shop environment is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in mechanical design. Experience with sheet metal and plastic components is a plus.
- Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD software; SolidWorks preferred.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Fluent in English (oral and written).
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of working time.
