Due to the continued growth of our practice and consistently high demand for technology consulting services, we are now recruiting a Technology Advisory Public Sector Specialistin our Tech and Data Universeteam in Athens.
We are looking for highly motivated and talented individuals who have a commitment to excellence in client service and are passionate about how technology could be an enabler in our digital world.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients in the public sector, providing strategic advice and innovative solutions to help them leverage technology and drive digital transformation. You will play a key role in project delivery, client engagement, and team management.
What You Will Be Doing
- Engage with public sector clients to understand their business objectives, challenges, and technology requirements.
- Facilitate the communication among all involved stakeholders to identify and report on project objectives, processes and performance standards, while highlighting strategic decisions to be made by client management.
- Serve as a key liaison between public sector clients and third-party vendors, effectively managing relationships to address project risks and ensure smooth collaboration.
- Apply project management methodologies and tools to ensure effective project governance and that efficient mechanisms for proper risk, issue and change management are established and timely maintained.
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path tasks, as well as plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate PMO tools.
- Design and deliver high quality documentation, including project management plans and artefacts for the entire project lifecycle (i.e., project management plans, logs, reports) to meet client needs.
- Provide strategic guidance to public sector clients on leveraging technology to achieve their goals and objectives around the areas of technology infrastructure, enterprise applications, processes and digital innovation.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes affecting the public sector, and advise clients accordingly.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and fostering long-term partnerships.
- Contribute to business development efforts by identifying new opportunities, preparing proposals, and participating in client presentations.
- Manage project teams, ensuring successful delivery within budget and timeline constraints.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
What we are looking for
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other relevant fields; advanced degrees (MBA, and/or other Master’s Degree) viewed favourably.
- Proven track record and professional experience (3-5 years) in technology consulting, preferably within the public sector domain.
- Experience in the implementation of tailored approaches for the design of PMO structures and operating models.
- Strong understanding of public sector operations and processes, including Management and Control Frameworks for co-funded programs (e.g. RRF / NSRF).
- Experience in overseeing and reporting progress of large-scale programs.
- Excellent organisational skills, having the ability to prioritise workload, whilst being resilient and being able to cope well under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
- Hands-on experience in PMO and reporting tools, including Microsoft Project / Jira, PowerBI / Excel (Advanced).
- PMP or PM2 (Advanced / Expert) certification will be considered a strong plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business challenges into practical technology solutions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and present ideas effectively to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Fluency in Greek and English, both written and spoken.
- Military obligations fulfilled where applicable.
