In this dynamic environment, we are looking for an ambitious and self-driven Experienced Associate/Senior Associate to join our Tax Certificate team in Athens. 

• Conduct tax audit procedures in accordance with PwC methodology and regulatory requirements 

• Prepare and issue Tax Certificates for clients, ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with Greek tax legislation 

• Review accounting records, financial statements and tax filings to identify discrepancies or potential risks 

• Perform analytical procedures and tests to verify correct tax treatment of transactions 

• Prepare working papers and documentation to support audit conclusions 

• Communicate with clients to clarify issues, request additional information and provide updates on deliverables 

• Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations relevant to the Tax Certificate process 

• Collaborate with team members and project managers to ensure timely and high-quality completion of engagements 

• Assist in research on tax matters and support the team with ad hoc projects 

• Supervise and mentor junior consultants, providing coaching, feedback and development opportunities to build team capability (Applicable to Senior Associate level) 

What you bring matters 

• Relevant professional experience in Tax Audit, External Audit, Accounting, or Tax Compliance 

• Excellent academic background from a Greek top-tier University in Accounting & Finance or Business Administration 

• Professional qualifications (IESOEL, ACCA etc.) and Postgraduate Studies (especially in taxation) will be highly regarded 

• Solid understanding of Greek Tax and/or Accounting Legislation; Familiarity with Tax Certificate procedures (eg Annual Tax Compliance Report for S.A./LTD companies) will be highly regarded 

• Knowledge of myDATA, along with experience using accounting software tools is considered an asset 

• Advanced computer literacy, with proficient use of MS Office applications   

• A confident, collaborative and positive approach, with strong communication skills when working with colleagues and clients at all levels 

• Ability to perform effectively under pressure and deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines 

• High level of adaptability and readiness to respond to change with agility 

• Strong commitment to excellence, delivering reliable work and cultivating strong client relationships. 

• A proactive mindset focused on continuous learning and professional development 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Greek and English
