Key requirements

  • 5+ years' experience
  • Environmental consulting and sustainability expertise
  • Environmental Impact Assessments, Strategic Environmental Assessments, Environmental Management Plans, and Social Monitoring Plans
  • Health & Safety due diligence assessments
  • Knowledge of environmental legislation, climate policy, and international environmental standards including EN ISO 14001, 45001, 9001
  • Climate risk assessments and climate resilience analysis
  • ArcGIS, GIS and geographic data visualization tools
  • Strong analytical, report writing, verbal, and presentation skills in Greek and English
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint proficiency
  • Engineering / Environmental Science / Any Fieldpreferred

In this dynamic environment, we are searching for an Experienced Environmental Professional to join our team in Athens.  

Make a real impact  

  • Draft and support environmental analysis, climate risk assessments (CRA) and climate resilience analysis across a diverse range of projects and sectors 

  • Prepare high-quality technical reports, presentations, and documentation to ensure regulatory compliance and effective stakeholder communication 

  • Conduct environmental, health & safety (EHS) due diligence assessments for transactions, project developments, and operations 

  • Prepare detailed due diligence reports, outlining findings, risk assessments, and recommendations 

  • Utilize ArcGIS and spatial analysis tools to assess environmental risks, opportunities, and project impacts. 

  • Evaluate site conditions through desktop research, document reviews, site visits, and stakeholder interviews 

  • Review and interpret permits, environmental documentation, and regulatory compliance records to identify potential risks and obligations. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed sustainability and climate considerations into project design and delivery 

  • Monitor developments in environmental legislation, climate policy, emerging technologies, and industry best practices, translating insights into practical solutions for clients

  • Deliver work to exceptional quality standards, reviewing and guiding team outputs to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency

  • Build and maintain trusted client relationships, proactively identifying needs and delivering high-quality solutions that create lasting value

What you bring matters  

  • BSc or Master’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field 

  • At least five (5) years of client-facing experience leading and delivering work in the field of environmental consulting and sustainability 

  • In-depth knowledge of the existing national and European legal frameworks for environmental protection and management, Health and Safety, as well as the environmental standards and requirements of international organizations and financial institutions (e.g., World Bank, EBRD, IFC) 

  • Proven expertise in preparing environmental studies and reports for infrastructure projects and plans (e.g., Environmental Impact Assessments, Strategic Environmental Assessments, Environmental Management and Environmental and Social Monitoring Plans/Systems, Ecological Impact Assessments) 

  • Experience of conducting a range of EHS Due Diligence assessment activities (i.e. DNSH assessment and Sustainability Proofing) 

  • Knowledge of EN ISO 14001, 45001, 9001 Management System standards and certification processes 

  • Familiarity with EU Taxonomy Regulation will be considered an asset.  

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret environmental data and translate findings into actionable recommendations 

  • Excellent report writing, verbal and presentation skills in Greek and English and able to review the work of others to ensure quality 

  • Strong knowledge of GIS, or other geographic data and environmental visualization platforms/tools 

  • Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively and deliver work to high standards 

  • Excellent critical thinking, intellectual curiosity and problem-solving abilities.  

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with demonstrated experience managing and analysing large data sets
