What you'll do
- Review requirements, specifications, and user stories to provide quality feedback
- Create and maintain clear and well-structured test cases and scenarios
- Execute manual test cases and report test results accurately
- Identify, document, and track defects using Jira
- Perform regression testing to verify bug fixes and ensure stability
- Support User Acceptance Testing activities
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA team to ensure product quality
- Create, review, and maintain Cucumber (Gherkin) scenarios for BDD
- Contribute ideas to improve QA processes and testing efficiency
Key requirements
- Manual testing and test case design skills
- Defect reporting using Jira
- Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and Cucumber (Gherkin) scenarios
- Basic knowledge of SQL, JSON, XML, REST APIs
- Understanding of software testing concepts
- Analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Computer Science / Software Engineering / related discipline

About the job
As a Junior Manual QA Engineer, your mission is to help ensure the delivery of high-quality software by executing manual tests, identifying defects, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. You will contribute to improving product quality while learning QA best practices, and behavior-driven development (BDD) using Cucumber.
Responsibilities
Review requirements, specifications, and user stories to provide meaningful feedback from a quality perspective.
Create and maintain clear, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases and test scenarios.
Execute manual test cases and report test results accurately.
Identify, document, and track defects using Jira.
Perform regression testing to verify bug fixes and ensure application stability.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA team members to ensure product quality.
Create, review, and maintain Cucumber (Gherkin) scenarios to support Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices.
Contribute ideas to improve QA processes, test documentation, and overall testing efficiency.
Requirements
University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
Any QA experience (Internships, academic projects, or personal projects related to software testing) is considered a plus.
Basic knowledge of SQL, JSON, XML, REST APIs, or web technologies is considered an advantage.
Understanding of software testing concepts, test case design, and defect reporting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Attention to detail and eagerness to learn.
