The Manager, Endpoint Security Engineering is responsible for leading and advancing enterprise‑wide protections across one of the most critical threat surfaces within the Cyber Defense organization. Endpoints remain primary attack vectors in the pharmaceutical industry.
This role will lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of endpoint protection capabilities across our global enterprise. This role is critical to safeguarding research, clinical, and corporate environments by delivering resilient, scalable, and compliant endpoint security solutions.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead Endpoint Security Engineering initiatives, including EDR/XDR, host-based controls, device hardening, and endpoint detection capabilities across enterprise environments.
Drive strategy and roadmap for endpoint protection aligned to evolving threat landscape, business priorities, and regulatory requirements.
Own engineering and lifecycle management of endpoint security tooling (e.g., EDR, DLP agents, device control, encryption) including deployment, tuning, and optimization.
Integrate endpoint telemetry into enterprise monitoring and incident response workflows to strengthen detection and response capabilities.
Partner with Cyber Defense, Vulnerability Management, and IT to ensure proactive risk reduction, vulnerability remediation, and coordinated response.
Establish and enforce endpoint security standards aligned to NIST CSF, corporate policies, and compliance expectations.
Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team, driving accountability, technical excellence, and delivery of measurable outcomes.
Ensure global coverage and scalability, including support for corporate IT, R&D, manufacturing, and OT/ICS environments where applicable.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
4+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with demonstrated depth across email, messaging, and endpoint security domains.
Hands‑on experience with enterprise endpoint security technologies and controls (e.g., endpoint protection platforms, EDR/XDR, device hardening, and data loss prevention).
Experience designing, operating, and scaling security controls in large, complex, and highly regulated global environments.
Proven ability to translate technical risk and control effectiveness into clear business impact for senior stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience in an agile work environment possessing qualities such as a collaborative mindset, adaptability to change, and a proactive problem-solving approach.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences industry.
Familiarity with executive protection programs, targeted attack defense, and protection of high‑risk users and devices.
Experience integrating endpoint security capabilities with SIEM, SOAR, identity, and threat intelligence platforms.
Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or similar.
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across technical and non‑technical audiences.
WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Travel as required by the business (less than 5% domestic and/or international)
Work Location Assignment: Must be able to work in assigned Pfizer office 2-3 days per week, or as needed by the business
