About the job

PeopleCert is seeking a UX-focused HTML/CSS Developer with a strong foundation in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to join our forward-thinking digital team. This role sits at the intersection of design, engineering, and performance, and is ideal for someone who enjoys crafting high-quality user experiences through clean code, thoughtful interactions, and continuous optimization. You will work closely with designers, CMS engineers, and product stakeholders to build robust, scalable, and performant front-end components, translating design intent into elegant, accessible, and highly interactive experiences.

As a HTML CSS Developer, your tasks will include the following:

  • Build and maintain high-quality front-end interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a strong emphasis on UX, maintainability, and performance.

  • Translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect, responsive, and accessible UI components, ensuring design intent is preserved across devices and browsers.

  • Write semantic, well-structured HTML markup that supports accessibility (WCAG), SEO best practices, and CMS-driven content structures.

  • Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers to refine interactions, improve usability, and evolve shared component patterns.

  • Engineer and enhance reusable UI components, contributing to a consistent and scalable front-end system.

  • Design and implement clever animations, transitions, and micro-interactions that enhance usability without compromising performance.

  • Continuously optimize front-end performance, including load times, rendering efficiency, and runtime behavior.

  • Debug and resolve front-end issues efficiently, with a strong understanding of browser behavior and performance bottlenecks.

  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UX designs, proposing alternatives or improvements where needed.

  • Work alongside CMS engineers to integrate front-end components into our CMS ecosystem (Sitecore-based).

  • Apply SEO, accessibility, and content-structure best practices throughout development.

  • Use version control (Git) confidently in a collaborative team environment, following established branching, review, and deployment workflows.

  • Stay up to date with modern front-end techniques, tools, and emerging UX patterns, bringing fresh ideas to the team.

What we look for:

  • Proven experience as a Front-End Developer / Front-End Engineer or similar role.

  • Strong command of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, with an eye for detail and craftsmanship.

  • Solid understanding of semantic HTML and structured markup, and how it supports accessibility, SEO, and CMS-based architectures.

  • Demonstrated experience translating design systems and Figma files into production-ready UI.

  • Strong understanding of responsive design, performance optimization, and cross-browser compatibility.

  • Experience building animations and micro-interactions using CSS and/or JavaScript.

  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, with a mindset focused on continuous improvement and optimization.

  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design principles.

  • Experience with CSS pre-processors (SASS / LESS).

  • Clear, hands-on experience working with Git, including branching, pull requests, and collaborative code reviews.

  • Excellent English language skills (C2 level preferred; LanguageCert C2 LTE or C2 IESOL is a plus).

  • Advanced computer literacy is required. ECDL Advance level certification is desirable.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.

  • Self-driven, well-organized, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment.

Bonus point if you have the following as well:

  • Experience with other JavaScript frameworks and libraries (e.g., Angular, Vue, React, ).

  • Experience or strong interest in UX-oriented front-end engineering.

  • Familiarity with CMS platforms, particularly Sitecore (strong plus), as well as SharePoint or headless CMS solutions.

  • Exposure to design systems, component libraries, or front-end architecture discussions.

What we offer:

  • Competitive remuneration package

  • Work in an international, dynamic and fun atmosphere 💯

  • Two free vouchers for all certifications from PeopleCert's Portfolio per year for all employees 🎓

  • Huge learning experience in using best practices and global environment 📈

  • Constant personal and professional development 🥇
