We are looking for a motivated and adaptable Strategic Portfolio Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will initially take on a hybrid position, focusing on data analysis while also using automation to transform our operational processes. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute both as a strategic analyst and to gain hands-on experience with system administration and project management during a key transformation.

Data Analysis & Reporting (Primary Responsibilities):

  • Drive Data-Driven Insights: Analysis of timesheet data to deliver meaningful reports comparing actual hours vs. planned hours across our entire Portfolio, uncovering trends and discrepancies in order to drive smarter decision-making.
  • Post-Project Evaluation: Conduct insightful post-project analysis, comparing projected vs. actual results to assess benefits realization and uncover areas for continuous improvement within the business.
  • Support Revenue & Billing Processes: Contribute to revenue reporting for billing purposes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in the invoicing process, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.
  • Project Budget Monitoring: Keep a close eye on project budgets, identifying and addressing any potential issues related to time and resource allocation to ensure projects stay on track and on budget.
  • Strategic Reports: Partner with management to craft compelling reports that highlight key performance indicators (KPIs) around time tracking, project progress, project budget, and resource utilization – helping shape the direction of critical business decisions.

Project & Resource Management Support:

  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate timesheet allocation to projects and tasks.
  • Assist in resource forecasting and capacity planning by analyzing timesheet data trends.
  • Support the tracking and reporting of project milestones, deadlines, and hours worked.

System Administration and project management (Transition Responsibilities)

  • Participate in a cross-functional team to support the partial automation of the timesheet system’s admin tasks.
  • Contribute to project planning and timelines, ensuring project milestones are met and communicate project progress to stakeholders, supporting the change management process as the system evolves.
  • Take on the role of admin for the current timesheet system during the transition period, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Coordinate with IT and vendors as needed for system updates and maintenance.
  • Timesheeting Systems & AI Integration: Collaborate with technical and HR teams to integrate AI-driven processes, automating administrative tasks and streamlining the joiners, movers, and leavers processes.

Skills & Qualifications:

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analysis, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience)

  • Experience:
  • 2-3 years experience in a business analysis, Project Management, or data analyst role (optional but ideal).
  • Strong analytical mindset with a passion for identifying patterns, solving problems and providing actionable insights.
  • Experience working with timesheet data and project management tools.
  • Excellent communication skills to report findings clearly and collaborate across teams.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to make a measurable impact on business operations.

Skills:

  • Excel proficiency: Pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, and ideally some basic macros.
  • Data visualization tools: Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or Excel dashboards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to present complex data findings in a clear, concise manner.
