senior business systems analyst

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join one of our Customer Teams as we continue to work on the next generation of online sports betting and gaming platforms. 

You will be responsible for gathering and reviewing requirements from business owners and product managers, working to identify an appropriate solution. You will be working closely on daily basis with Product Managers, Development Managers, Project Managers, Software Architects and Senior Software Engineers to shape the technology and product vision of the team that will drive forward customer’s strategic product initiatives. Skilled in defining and creating both functional and non-functional requirements and in supervising the conversion of these into Agile user stories and Dfor use by all members of a software development team. 

Once a solution is agreed you will create the necessary functional and technical documentation from which the development team will produce software, identifying the products and applications involved in delivering the solution and any changes that require development. 

Skilled at communicating at both the business and technical level, you will ensure all the business requirements are documented. 

Responsibilities: 

• Working with external customers, technical roles and/or product managers to extract requirements 
• Evaluating business requirements vs technical, architectural and resource constraints and proposing appropriate solutions 
• Identifying technical deliverables, risks, and impact for the chosen solutions 
• Evaluating business problems and proposing solutions to allow customers to meet these, either through OpenBet software or changes to the existing processes.  
• Serving as a liaison by pro-actively communicating and collaborating with customers and OpenBet development teams to evaluate solutions to customer requirements 
• Providing excellent verbal and written communication skills whilst interacting with a diverse group of people, internally and externally 
• Communicate with both business and technical colleagues and customers in an appropriate manner and using a range of techniques. 

Qualifications: 

If you are the Business Analyst for us, you will be able to demonstrate: 

• 3+ years’ experience as a BA role in an online industry  
• Demonstrable experience of BDD 
• Web applications knowledge 
• Demonstrable experience in defining and implementing comprehensive product strategies for complex IT projects working in Agile environments, with a heavy emphasis on user stories and acceptance criteria, also with focus on non-functional requirements 
• Experience in a customer facing role, working with product owners and/or members of the business, to understand functional and non-functional requirements, and turn these into technical solutions.   
• Proven communication and presentation skills.  
• Dealing with change on a daily basis; must be comfortable both with external factors driving this change as well as internals.  
• Should be opinionated but also data-driven and part of the team, especially about design and implementation of products.  
• Experience working with development teams within Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Lean and Kanban 
• Excellent interpersonal/communication skills 

It’d also be great to see these skills/experiences as well: 

• Development or QA experience within Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Lean and Kanban  
• Programming or QA experience with complex large-volume high-transaction systems.
