What you'll do
- Prepare, maintain, and update civil maintenance SOPs, work instructions, and Aerodrome Manual certification inputs
- Review civil design drawings, specifications, as-built documentation, and O&M manuals
- Plan and supervise preventive and corrective civil maintenance works
- Carry out routine inspections and condition assessments of airside and landside civil infrastructure
- Support civil asset handover from Constructor through punch-list close-out, managing ongoing DLP and warranty defects
- Establish the airside pavement asset register and inspection zones across runways, taxiways, aprons, service roads, and drainage interfaces
- Define pavement inspection regimes and maintenance trigger levels, review friction monitoring results to support pavement repairs and rubber removal activities
- Participate actively in ORAT activities including readiness inspections, trial operations, snagging, and defect reporting
- Maintain accurate CMMS records of inspections, defects, test results, work orders, maintenance activities, and pavement condition trends
- Manage the airside pavement maintenance program and oversee outsourced contractors and testing agencies
Key requirements
- 7+ years' experience
- Civil Engineering and infrastructure maintenance expertise
- Pavement Condition Assessment including defect classification and repair planning
- Maintenance SOPs Preparation and Management and Work Instructions

International Airport of Heraklion, Crete S.A. is currently looking for a: Senior Civil Engineer (Maintenance) Responsibilities
Prepares, maintains, and updates civil maintenance SOPs, work instructions, and Aerodrome Manual certification inputs.

Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Infrastructure, or Asset Management is considered an asset
7-10 years of professional experience in civil engineering, infrastructure maintenance, pavement engineering, or airport / transport infrastructure
Demonstrated experience in pavement condition assessment, defect classification, repair planning, and maintenance programming is required
Strong understanding of civil infrastructure maintenance, asset lifecycle concepts, and airport operational constraints
Proven ability to prepare and manage maintenance SOPs, procedures, inspection regimes, and work instructions
Understanding friction monitoring, mu-value interpretation, rubber deposit control, surface texture, pavement markings, drainage, and FOD-related pavement risks
Very good command of English and Greek language, both oral and written
Competencies
