About the job
As a Sr. Strategic Research professional, you’ll analyze market trends, assess financial opportunities, and provide strategic insights that shape key business decisions. Your expertise will guide leadership in making data-driven choices that fuel growth and innovation.
Your day to day will include:
- Monitoring key market metrics and financial indicators in Greece and internationally to identify trends relevant to the company
- Performing in-depth analysis and preparing analytical reports using macros and statistical tools to provide market insights to management
- Analyzing local and international market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive developments to assess the investment environment at macro and micro levels
- Developing and applying advanced economic, statistical, and financial models to project market changes and support corporate finance initiatives
- Providing financial argumentation and consulting on license renewals, arbitration cases, and damage assessments
- Preparing management presentations to communicate financial findings from strategic research projects
- Evaluating potential strategic investments and conducting feasibility studies based on market data and projections, providing recommendations to management
- Working closely with external stakeholders, including consultants and industry experts, for specialized strategic projects
What you need to succeed:
- BSc in economics, finance, statistics, computer science, or related field. MSc in Finance will be considered as an asset
- 4+ years of experience in financial analysis within consulting/private equity/brokerage firm/investment banking service
- CFA certification of level 2 and above, will be considered as an asset
- Strong understanding of macroeconomics, capital markets trends, competitor activities, industry dynamics, and customer trends
- Expertise in financial modeling & financial forecasts
- Ability to construct valuation models from scratch (DCF, multiples etc.)
- Proficient user of Bloomberg and/or Capital IQ, Reuters
- Strong numerical, analytical, and conceptual thinking skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Team player with strong collaboration skills
- Proficient user of MS office; expertise in advanced Excel functions
- Excellent communication and presentation skills both in English and Greek languages (written and oral)
