We’re seeking a dynamic Software Development Manager to lead the planning, design, and delivery of innovative in-house software solutions. In this role, you’ll drive the full development lifecycle for critical systems, ensuring projects are executed smoothly, on time, and aligned with business goals. Your day to day will include:
Establishing and improving team processes, procedures, and standards to enhance operational efficiency
Managing the full software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance, leading a multi-skilled team
Assigning tasks, managing team capacity, and providing coaching and support to develop skills and achieve goals
Reviewing business and technical needs, proposing scalable solutions aligned with best practices, architecture, and security standards
Designing software architecture collaboratively to ensure integration and system compatibility
Coordinating third-party system integrations to deliver cohesive solutions
Applying agile principles and supporting the resolution of technical challenges
Reviewing code, debugging, and identifying gaps in business understanding
Monitoring solution quality and performance through QA evaluation and ongoing updates
Overseeing vendor contracts to align with team goals and protect company interests
Encouraging collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team
Managing team members by providing support and coaching to develop skills and achieve goals
What you need to succeed:
BSc in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related field; MSc preferred
8+ years of experience designing, developing, and testing enterprise software applications
Proven experience managing software development teams
Proficient in Java application development within enterprise environments
Strong experience with industry-standard frameworks and tools such as Spring, Spring Boot, JPA, JUnit, and JavaEE/JakartaEE
Experience with relational and non-relational databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MongoDBExperienced in Agile software development lifecycle methodologies, including SCRUM and Kanban
Familiarity with Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Agile best practices
Strong knowledge of RESTful API design principles
Experience using version control tools such as Git and Subversion
Skilled in test-driven development and solid testing practices
Good understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture
Solid knowledge of event-driven architecture
Excellent understanding of system resiliency and cloud-native architecture
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Solid project management abilities with a positive mindset
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to explain complex technical concepts clearly
