About the job
As a Linux Systems Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of our corporate and gaming systems.
Your day to day will include:
• Supporting the assessment of the capabilities and limitations of the system and servers infrastructure, recommending solutions to facilitate the planning, design and development of a scalable and agile system architecture
• Providing upgrade recommendations and technical direction to IT support staff to ensure systems’ integrity and availability
• Automating and configuring management solutions and implementing improvements in deployment automation.
• Managing, maintaining and monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure as well as identifying and resolving technical problems (2nd or 3rd level of support) in coordination with vendors and other IT personnel to achieve accurate system operation
• Accurately, effectively and proactively executing migration and configuration changes to support business efficiency with minimum interruption of daily operations
• Implementing security, backup, updates, and disaster recovery solutions to ensure the highest level of services and systems availability
• Collaborating with security and networking teams to implement, expand and fine-tune security policies on central resources and applications configuring user access and permissions in line with approved levels of authority
What you need to succeed:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or relevant field
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in managing operating systems and databases
• Proven working experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting of Linux operating systems
• Proven experience in Virtualization administration (VMware & Hyper-V & KVM)
• Deep knowledge of core IP services (DNS, DHCP, LDAP, NTP, SMTP etc.)
• Strong experience with load balancing (HAProxy, Nginx)
• Good knowledge of Azure administration
• Working knowledge of a variety of hardware platforms and software applications
• Knowledge of database management processes, tools and platforms (SQL, Oracle, Sybase etc.)
• Proficiency in scripting and automation for routine tasks and deployments.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Good analytical thinking and strong attention to detail
• Strong achievement orientation and a can-do mentality
