About your future role
Your key responsibilities in this role will be:
- Design, development, implementation, operation, and support of networking infrastructure (LAN, WAN, WLAN, Data Center, Backbone, Internet & Client connectivity)
- Management of network IP addressing, IP traffic management and RIPE update responsibilities
- Troubleshooting of complex problems involving client critical infrastructure & production networks
- Provide root cause analysis to impacting network issues
- Provide subject matter technical engineering expertise and support and review technical work of others.
- Follow up IT Service Management procedures (such as Incident Management, Change Management, etc.).
- Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
- Evaluation and selection of network solutions and architectures
- Respond to and communicate timely and effectively, within the pre-determined timeframe of our service level agreement, with customers providing professional and knowledgeable service.
- Cooperation with suppliers, manufacturers and telecom providers regarding network expansion
- Documentation and implementation of operations procedures and network architecture standards for the deployed network technologies
- Continues update of network designs and documents library
- Performing Instructional sessions for knowledge transfer
- The engineer must be able to support impacted changes during non-working hours and in some cases he may need to be on-site

Qualifications needed to be successful in this role:
- University or College Degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Digital Systems or relevant technology-related field
- At least 5-10 years working experience in network design, implementation and support activities
- CCIE Certification
- In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly IP, TCP, UDP, HTTP, IPSEC, etc), routing/switching protocols and technologies (OSPF, BGP, QoS, vPC, STP, SD-WAN, SD-Access, Wireless etc)
- Solid understanding of network operating systems (Cisco IOS, NX-OS, etc)
- Solid understanding of Data Center network concepts and architectures (Overlays, CLOS, VXLAN, DCI etc)
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
- Analytical problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a multi-cultural, multi-vendor environment
- Fluent in Greek and English language (oral & written)
