A day in the life of a R&D Software Engineer (Quarkus/Spring Framework)

As a R&D Software Engineer, with expertise in the Quarkus and Spring frameworks. your role will be pivotal in creating and maintaining a sophisticated, full-stack service platform. This platform operates on a microservices architecture, demanding high performance, scalability, and efficiency standards.

Your main duties will be to: 

• Collaborate in designing and deploying large-scale distributed systems, ensuring reliability and high availability

• Develop and maintain critical components of our service platform using Java, Quarkus framework and Spring WebFlux/Boot

• Contribute to the development of microservices in a distributed architecture, focusing on seamless integration and efficient communication between services

• Uphold best practices in the development of large-scale web applications within a containerized environment

• Design and implement robust APIs for our distributed systems, ensuring scalability, security, and performance

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient deployment and seamless service operation

• Participate in continuous improvement processes, focusing on system performance and reliability

Qualifications

If you have:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

• Proven experience (3+ years) in preferably large IT projects with strong usage of open-source frameworks, software, and tools

• Proven experience in developing high-performance APIs and a deep understanding of RESTful principles

• Strong background in designing and implementing solutions in a distributed systems environment

• Solid experience in Java development, particularly with the Quarkus framework.

• Proficiency with Spring Boot and WebFlux

• Knowledge of Kubernetes and microservices architectures

• Excellent communication skills

• Strong interpersonal skills, adaptability and team spirit

• Fluent in English
