We at Nova are a very young and dynamic team, the 2nd largest telecom provider in Greece, looking for a vibrant and fast-thinking IS Engineer to be part of our successful team in our Prepaid Billing & Online Charging department.

You have a challenging mission for:

driving projects from conception to completion. This role involves producing and executing technical documentation, providing in-house expertise on critical systems, and collaborating with vendors to ensure seamless system integration and maintenance. The IS Engineer is a key communicator, coordinating with internal departments to plan and deliver new services, promotional campaigns, and value-added services on time and within budget. The candidate should be a skilled multitasking professional with expertise in SQL/PLSQL, Unix, and various other applications, capable of managing multiple ongoing projects while ensuring daily operational tasks are completed efficiently.

What you will do:

• Produce and execute technical sections of the following technical documentation: Business analysis, Feasibility study, User requirements, System specifications, Test plan and Test report

• Undertake projects aiming providing Nova in-house expertise and know-how on various systems applications and platforms (rating & promo engine)

• Cooperate with related vendor companies for planning and implementing maintenance and integrations of rating & promo engine systems.

• Present reports to program office department defining project progress, possible problems and solutions.

• Communicating with the marketing department and all involved departments in order to plan and deliver new services, promotional campaigns and Value Added Services (VAS)

• Fully participating in projects that involve software integrations and migrations regarding charging and billing rating platform.

• Organizing/Conducting of user acceptance tests (UAT) for ongoing IT projects that should be delivered on time and within the estimated and planned budget.

• Multitasking engineer that should be working on several ongoing projects within IT department along with the daily tasks/reports/checks of the position. 

• Should be fluently user of the below applications:

  • SQL/PLSQL programming languages

  • Toad user for several DBs monitoring/reporting

  • Unix and Vi language user

  • Office Microsoft user

  • Expert Excel user for several report handling 

It would be great if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science or other related disciplines

• Master’s degree would be considered as an asset.

• At least 5 years previous job experience on the same or similar majors.

• Experience on the project management skills (lead or implementation skills).

• Knowledge of software development and user interface web applications

• Good knowledge on Windows, Unix, Linux environments and shell scripting.

• Passion for technology and customer experience

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Very good knowledge of English language
