NTT Data Greece team is looking for an Infrastructure Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Athens to work with our clients in the European public sector.

We are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Infrastructure Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide strategic and technical guidance across infrastructure-related projects. The Infrastructure SME will play a critical role in ensuring the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions that align with organizational goals and industry best practices.

Your role:

• Provide expert-level guidance on infrastructure architecture, including servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and cloud platforms.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define infrastructure requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.

• Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure high availability, performance, and security.

• Lead or support infrastructure-related projects, including migrations, upgrades, and new deployments.

• Review and validate technical documentation, configurations, and operational procedures.

• Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Mentor and support infrastructure teams by sharing knowledge and best practices.

• Participate in incident response and root cause analysis for infrastructure-related issues.

• Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in infrastructure and cloud computing.

Infrastructure:

• Operations of physical server

• Storage (primary and back up)

• Operating systems (Linux and Windows)

• Hypervisor (VMware) and virtual machine 

• Kubernetes cluster management

Your profile:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 3 years in a senior or SME role.

• Deep expertise in areas such as data center operations, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), networking (LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs), virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), storage and backup solutions.

• Strong understanding of ITIL, DevOps, and security frameworks.

• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

• Proven ability to lead and influence technical teams.

• Fluency in English (B2 level minimum); knowledge of another European language is a plus.

You must be eligible for EU Security Clearance (at least 5 years of EU nationality in required).
