About the job

As an Insights Specialist - Bakery, you will provide compelling insights and engage with customers and key account teams. You will identify and track category opportunities that support growth or mitigate risk, applying your insights across category, shopper, and consumer metrics by analyzing and translating multiple data sources.

How you will contribute

You will:

  • Develop and execute selling strategies related to innovation, distribution, merchandising, and promotional plans for the Bakery category.
  • Serve as a key link between Customer Business Teams (CBTs) and the Category Innovation, Marketing, and Equity teams to ensure strategies and tactics align with customer needs.
  • Build category and customer plans in collaboration with Category teams, Insights, and CBTs.
  • Act as the internal category expert, creating compelling, actionable, and measurable category plans.
  • Provide thought leadership internally and externally on brand and category initiatives (e.g., promotional strategy, budget planning).
  • Lead the delivery of category dashboards and fundamentals, recommending corrective actions to ensure targets are met.
  • Continuously assess baseline volume opportunities/risks and drive initiatives to optimize category performance.

  • Proven experience in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry is a distinct advantage.

Career Experience Required

  • Minimum 3+ years of professional experience with a strong background in commercial and/or marketing (Sales/CP&A/Marketing).
  • University degree in a related field is a plus.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
