What you'll do

- Report progress, technical issues, and risks to Lead Electrical Engineer and Commissioning Manager
Key requirements
- 2+ years' experience
- Electrical commissioning activities and electrical systems and equipment knowledge
- Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements and safe working practices on site including LOTO procedures
- Testing and system optimisation experience
- Coordination and communication skills in multi-disciplinary project environments
- MS Office proficiency and fluent English

We are currently seeking a Site Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join our team in Aspropyrgos, Greece supporting the commissioning phase of a Gas Power Plant and/or HV Substation.
This role offers a strong opportunity to contribute hands-on to the execution and delivery of electrical commissioning activities through to successful handover, ensuring compliance with project, quality, safety, and performance requirements.
Your role will encompass:
Execute and support electrical commissioning activities from pre-commissioning through to final handover, in line with approved procedures and project requirements.
Carry out hands-on commissioning of electrical systems and equipment, including transformers, medium and low voltage switchgear, DC systems, rectifiers, inverters, and associated auxiliaries.
Perform testing, system optimisation, troubleshooting, and completion of commissioning documentation and protocols.
Coordinate activities with internal teams, external partners, subcontractors, and customers to ensure smooth execution and interface management.
Ensure all commissioning activities are carried out in strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements, including LOTO procedures, work permits, and safe systems of work.
Plan and execute authorised low-voltage (LV) isolations and support safe execution of site activities.
Coordinate commissioning activities with erection, construction, and commissioning teams, ensuring readiness for system start-up.
Lead and coordinate Electrical technicians during commissioning and pre-commissioning activities.
Participate in walk-downs for turnover from construction to commissioning, identifying and tracking open items impacting system start-up.
Prepare, update, and implement commissioning procedures and site documentation.
Report progress, technical issues, and risks to the Lead Electrical Engineer and the Commissioning Manager.
What You Bring to the Role:
2+ years of experience in electrical commissioning activities on power plants and/or HV substations.
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).
Hands-on knowledge of electrical commissioning methodologies and systems.
Experience working in multi-disciplinary and international project environments.
Strong understanding of HSE requirements and safe working practices on site.
Good organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in MS Office.
Fluent written and spoken English.
