We are currently seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join our Technology Team in Athens, Greece.
Your role will encompass:
- Develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software.
- Provide technical leadership through mentorship and code reviews.
- Design software architecture for system scalability and reliability.
- Troubleshoot complex issues, optimize performance, and enhance efficiency.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver solutions.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and improve development workflows.
- Ensure software quality through rigorous testing strategies.
- Manage deployments, monitor system performance, and resolve production issues.
- Translate business needs into technical specifications and analysis documents.
- Act as a liaison between Technology, Business, and vendors.
- Identify and integrate cost-efficient software solutions.
- Provide system support, maintenance, and incident resolution.
- Work with external vendors to implement and support applications.
- Prepare solution documentation and training materials.
- Assist in technology procurement and compliance initiatives.
What you bring to the role:
- University Degree in Computer Science or any other related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
- Strong programming skills in PHP, Python, C++, and JavaScript.
- Experience with system architecture and design patterns.
- Proficiency in databases, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Experience in solution design and development and vendor management.
- Excellent knowledge of the English language, both written and oral.
