About the job

We are currently looking for a Senior Enterprise Risk Officer to join our Enterprise Risk & Internal Controls team based in Athens. 

By joining this role, you’ll play a vital part in our company’s effort to strengthen our risk management framework, enhance organizational resilience, and drive a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks across all levels. 

 

Your role will encompass: 

  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework. 
  • Support the development and update of the Risk Appetite Framework to ensure alignment with business strategy and regulatory expectations. 
  • Support in the execution of the Enterprise Risk Management process to ensure proper identification, assessment, monitoring, and treatment of risks across the organization. 
  • Design, implement, and monitor risk metrics (e.g. Key Risk Indicators) to detect shifts in the risk profile. 
  • Contribute to the preparation and enhancement of internal and external risk reporting packages, tailored to various stakeholders (e.g. Executive Management, Board). 
  • Ensure the accurate and up-to-date maintenance of the company’s Risk Register. 
  • Promote a risk-aware culture throughout the organization via initiatives such as training sessions, awareness campaigns, and collaboration with business units. 
  • Monitor developments and best practices in Enterprise Risk Management, as well as trends and emerging risks in industries relevant to the company’s operations. 

 

What you bring to the role: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Risk Management, and Business Administration or another related field 
  • Professional qualifications (e.g., CIA, CRMA) and a master's degree will be considered an asset. 
  • 5+ years of professional experience in enterprise risk management or operational risk management. 
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaborative relationships with colleagues and partners. 
  • High attention to detail, self-driven, results-oriented, and action-focused.  
  • Problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying potential issues and opportunities for improvement. 
  • Very strong oral and written communication, presentation and facilitation skills, both in Greek & English. 
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office
