About the job
We are currently looking for a Senior Business Operations Specialist to join our Information Technology & Digital Strategy team in our Athens Offices.
The Senior Business Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring that applications are running smoothly, meeting performance expectations, and contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Your role will encompass:
- Responsible for managing the lifecycle of applications, post GoLive and all related ongoing maintenance activities
- Monitoring the performance of applications through user feedback and tickets opened to ensure they meet specified service levels. This includes identifying and addressing issues related to application performance, availability, and reliability and proposing actions for improvement
- Responsible for leading the team who is responding to and resolving incidents on a 2nd and 3rd level support basis related to application outages, performance degradation, or other issues. This may involve coordinating with other teams internal or external, and leading the implementation of solutions to minimize downtime
- Assessing current and future capacity needs of applications to ensure they can handle the expected workload. This involves working closely with infrastructure teams to scale resources as necessary
- Acting as the security team’s counterpart ensuring that applications comply with security policies and regulations set on a Group IT level. This includes implementing security recommendations and participating in IT audits as application owner
- Responsible for leading the team that maintains documentation related to applications support, including configuration details, troubleshooting guides, and standard operating procedures
- Working closely with cross-functional teams, including development, infrastructure, and support teams, to foster collaboration and ensure seamless operation of applications. Acting as a Key Stakeholder in projects for production deployment and post GoLive support
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of application operations
- Managing relationships with third-party vendors or service providers whose products or services are integral to the operation of the applications
What you bring to the role:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or any other related discipline
- Master’s degree in a related discipline will be considered an asset
- 4+ years of relevant work experience
- Deep understanding of Applications Architecture both OnPrem as well as on Cloud
- Experience in solution design and development, vendor management, enterprise application support
- Experience with monitoring tools to track system performance and identify potential issues before they become critical
- Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including management and end-users
- Exposure with any of the following technologies: SAP, Microsoft PowerPlatform, SAP SuccessFactors, Salesforce will be considered an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English language
