About the job

We are currently looking for a Strategy & M&A Project Manager to join our Strategy & M&A team, based in Athens.

In this role, you will support the Group’s strategic growth through the evaluation and execution of investments, acquisitions, strategic partnerships and other corporate development initiatives. You will work on complex transactions, collaborate with senior stakeholders and external advisors, and contribute across the transaction lifecycle, from opportunity assessment and due diligence to execution and value creation.

This role combines strategic thinking, financial analysis, transaction execution and project management, offering exposure to high-profile M&A and investment opportunities across the Group.

You will work closely with Central Functions, Business Units and senior management, while collaborating with external advisors, lenders, investors and counterparties to deliver strategic projects and transactions.

 

 

Your role will encompass

  • Lead the evaluation and execution of strategic investments, M&A transactions, divestments, joint ventures, strategic partnerships and other corporate development initiatives.

  • Conduct financial, commercial and strategic analyses, including valuation, investment return assessments, scenario modelling and market analysis, to support investment decisions and value creation.

  • Develop, maintain and review integrated financial models to support investment evaluation, business planning, strategic decision-making and transaction execution.

  • Manage transaction workstreams, due diligence processes and project deliverables, coordinating internal stakeholders and external advisors across financial, legal, tax, commercial, technical and environmental matters.

  • Support transaction structuring, negotiations, approvals and execution through signing and closing, while identifying key risks, value drivers and transaction considerations.

  • Prepare investment memoranda, business cases and presentations, while acting as a key liaison between Business Units, Central Functions, senior management and external advisors to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.

 

 

What you bring to the role

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Administration or a related field, with a strong academic record.

  • 7+ years of experience in M&A, corporate development, investment banking, transaction advisory, strategy consulting, private equity, corporate finance or a similar analytical role, with experience managing complex transactions and workstreams.

  • Strong financial modelling expertise, including building and reviewing integrated financial models, alongside a solid understanding of valuation methodologies, corporate finance and investment analysis.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and commercial acumen, with the ability to assess strategic and financial implications and translate complex information into actionable recommendations.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, combined with strong project and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to coordinate multiple priorities and cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, with strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently under pressure, and a genuine interest in strategy, investments, corporate development and M&A.
