About the job

We are currently looking for an OT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team, based in Volos, Greece.

 

By joining this role, you'll be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and continuously improving OT infrastructure and industrial systems, ensuring the secure, reliable, and uninterrupted operation of manufacturing and critical operational environments. As part of the OT Infrastructure team, you will provide Level 2 technical support, troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to maintain high system availability.

 

Your role will encompass:

  • Providing Level 2 technical support for OT infrastructure, industrial systems, and manufacturing environments.

  • Administering and supporting OT servers, virtualization platforms, and industrial workstations.

  • Supporting and maintaining industrial network infrastructure, including Cisco networking equipment, Industrial Ethernet switches, and wireless connectivity.

  • Monitoring OT infrastructure health and responding to incidents using monitoring tools such as SolarWinds and Nagios.

  • Performing troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and issue resolution for network, server, virtualization, and OT infrastructure-related incidents.

  • Supporting backup, recovery, patch management, and preventive maintenance activities across OT systems.

  • Assisting with the implementation and maintenance of OT cybersecurity controls, including endpoint protection, secure remote access, and vulnerability remediation.

  • Supporting firewall, VPN, network segmentation, and secure remote access solutions in collaboration with IT and Cybersecurity teams.

  • Managing user requests, incidents, changes, and technical documentation using ServiceNow and other collaboration tools.

  • Supporting system upgrades, infrastructure changes, testing, and commissioning activities.

  • Coordinating with equipment vendors and third-party providers for issue resolution and maintenance activities.

  • Maintaining accurate technical documentation, asset inventories, and configuration records.

  • Collaborating with Engineering, Production, Maintenance, Automation, and IT teams to ensure high availability and continuous improvement of OT infrastructure.

 

What you bring to the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Automation Engineering, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of professional experience in OT Infrastructure, Industrial Systems, IT Infrastructure, or Technical Support roles.

  • Experience supporting Windows Server environments, virtualization platforms (VMware ESXi or similar), and industrial workstations.

  • Good knowledge of Cisco networking technologies, Industrial Ethernet, TCP/IP networking, VLANs, and network troubleshooting.

  • Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, or similar.

  • Experience with backup and recovery solutions such as Commvault or Veeam.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, or other cybersecurity and monitoring solutions is considered an asset.

  • Knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, secure remote access technologies, and network segmentation principles.

  • Experience working with ServiceNow or similar IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms.

  • Exposure to SCADA and industrial automation platforms (WinCC, Wonderware/AVEVA, SINUMERIK, or similar) will be considered an asset.

  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Fluency in English (verbal and written).
