About the job
We are currently looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team in Athens offices.
Your role will encompass:
Preparing and/or reviewing Conceptual/Basic Design and Detail Design of Power Plants and Industrial Facilities.
Preparing and/or reviewing Heat & Mass Balances, Water Balances, Process Flow Diagrams, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams, General Arrangement drawings, System Descriptions, System Calculations, System Line & Valve Lists, Piping isometrics and supports drawings
Preparing technical specifications and associated datasheets for mechanical equipment such as gas turbine and reciprocating engines, steam turbines, Heat Recovery steam generators, air cooled and/water cooled condensers, cooling towers, main pumps, etc. and following up/reviewing mechanical equipment Vendor’s offers and documentation.
Participate and support Hazard & Risk analysis studies, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL
Provide technical assistance, support and troubleshooting to the site construction and commissioning team.
Involve in interface, project meetings with equipment Vendors, other disciplines, customer representatives.
What you bring to the role:
2+ years of experience in a relevant position (power, oil & gas sector)
Engineering Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Excellent knowledge of the English language. Knowledge of other languages shall be considered an additional asset.
Knowledge and familiarization with European Directives and Industrial Standards such as ASME, EN.
Strong knowledge of computer applications, especially MS Office, autoCAD.
Critical thinking & troubleshooting capability.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
