About the job
We are currently looking for a Regional IT Supervisor for East Europe, Balkans & MEA to join our Information Technology team, based in Athens.
By joining this role, you’ll play a vital role in our company’s effort to secure the corporate quality standards of IT services, representing the IT department in Eastern Europe, Balkans, Middle East and Africa regions, by effectively partnering with local business functions and by coordinating all the HQ IT teams’ operations, along with the necessary external vendors.
Your role will encompass:
- Serve as the single point of contact for local Metlen business top management for all IT-related activities.
- Lead and oversee all IT operations in the region, driving strategic execution across IT budgeting, needs analysis, infrastructure, security, user support, network management, procurement, and asset management.
- Be responsible for managing all local IT resources, both internal and external, including third-party vendors and service providers.
- Manage all regional IT activities carried out by HQ teams by requesting, evaluating, and approving relevant IT actions.
- Be responsible for the effective communication and alignment between other regional supervisors and HQ IT Operations teams.
- Lead the collaboration between business stakeholders and IT teams, to develop detailed system requirements and specifications for new projects.
- Take charge of overseeing and optimizing second-level support operations across the region, ensuring seamless performance and efficiency.
What you bring to the role:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related scientific field.
- 10+ years of experience in IT system administration and IT support roles, in various levels of responsibility, as well in IT Service management, procurement of technology or services from IT vendors, vendor selection, relationship management, SLA tracking, etc.
- Certifications like CCNA, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or MCSE: Core Infrastructure, are considered a plus.
- Development and execution of project plans, including timelines, risk analysis and project management.
- Ability to take initiatives, work autonomously and produce high-quality results in a challenging multinational environment.
- Focus on troubleshooting, error finding, analyzing, and optimizing complex sets of information.
- Ability to travel globally (regional offices and sites).
