We are looking for a:

                                       “Store Concept Business Leader”


The life of a Store Concept Business Leader @LEROY MERLIN:

You will be able to design, develop, and continuously improve the store concept in alignment with customer expectations, brand identity, and business strategy — driving a 5* omnicommerce customer experience, operational efficiency, and commercial performance.

  • Create the store LM GR/CY concept strategy and identify new regional or concept opportunities, connected with Brand’s purpose and promise. Imperative to enable a 5* customer experience, based on customer journeys identifying key moments of truth and categories’ CDTs.

  • Align store concept evolution with brand positioning, market trends, and customer needs. Ensure that Brand Strategy is brought to life via an omnicommerce presence, enabling O2O strategy.

  • Develop best macro store layout and macro merchandising per category, promoting Customer Satisfaction, Conversion and Growth. Define and maintain the overall store concept framework (layout, zoning, design principles, customer journey, touchpoints).

  • Ensure the concept supports both inspiration and ease of purchase (from inspiration-based zones to assortment display, stock, project & service areas, check out, etc.).

  • Follow local & international competition, bring inspiration and innovation by following new trends. Respect ADEO guidelines and utilize internal analysis & customer insights in order to make local adaptation and optimize €/sqm performance

  • Define the store equipment and store image guidelines and share it with the shelving solutions specialist leader, visual identity specialist leader, merchandising team and omnicommerce team in order to optimize performance of our selling areas and facilitate the customer's journey,

  • Define and monitor the budget of the store concept. (per case)

  • Similar process for capturing the B2B opportunities for Pro segment


Cross-functionalities:

  • Work closely with Offer & Merchandising, Store network Operations, and Omnicommerce teams to ensure consistency across channels.

  • Provide standards to micro merchandisers to produce micro-plans for new ranges in order to ensure alignment with store concept strategy

  • Annual meeting to plan evolutions on merchandising standards per M1, M2, M3 in order to forecast new needs and adaptation in macro and micro plans

  • Partner with Construction & Facilities for implementation in new store openings, remodels, or renovations.

  • Ensure the store concept integrates digital and omnichannel services for a full omnicommerce 5* customer experience (click & collect, kiosks, digital signage), as well as all relevant back office operations.

  • Accountable for the respect of store concept strategy during cross functional meetings and propose solutions based on cost, ROI & customer experience

  • Maintain governance of concept deployment across the store network (new stores and retrofits).

  • Support training of teams and ensure execution quality.

Required Skills

  • Strong background in retail design, visual merchandising, or store operations.

  • Customer-centric mindset with a balance of creativity and practicality.

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Engineer or Architecture

  • 7-10 years of experience in commercial roles

  • People’s management

  • Business understanding, Data Acumen

  • Project management skills and experience with retail rollouts.

  • Ability to interpret customer insights and translate them into spatial and experiential solutions.

  • Familiarity with architectural or design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc.) is a plus.

  • Store Concept comprehension

  • Merchandising rules understanding

  • Image, relation & services in the store

  • How to observe the store with the client’s eye & the merchandising knowledge (store visit & exercise) - impact in store layout

  • The perfect shelf (micro-merchandising) - deep dive of merchandising

  • Symmetry of collaborators & clients’ experience in the store

  • Security of collaborators & clients in the store

  • Data to be used in the store - use cases

  • Supply chain in relation to the store

  • Economy of the store, performance & KPIs

  • Fluent in English

  • French (optional)
