The life of a Accounting Manager @LEROY MERLIN:

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Accounting Manager to join our finance department. In this role, you will not only manage key accounting tasks but also lead a team of accountants, ensuring that all financial operations are efficient, accurate, and compliant with regulations. You will work closely with senior management and you will report to the Finance Director to drive financial strategy and analysis to support the company's goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage a team of accountants, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality performance.
• Preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Support audits and work closely with external auditors during the audit process.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations and support business decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and relevant regulations.
• Contribute to process improvements and streamline accounting workflows to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and CPA or equivalent preferred such as ACCA, ACA, Diploma in IFRS.
• A’class signature right
• Strong knowledge of accounting and IFRS principles, financial reporting, and financial analysis.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3-5 years senior level with leading team
• Experience with retail industry financial processes and challenges is a plus.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
