We are looking for a QS Associate to join our Infrastructure team.

The QS Associate of the Infrastructure team will be responsible for all Quantity Surveying services of the Infrastructure projects from the initial project development phase to design and construction delivery phases.

The QS Associate will be reporting to the QS Manager.

Key responsibilities:

Core competencies, knowledge & experience:

• Assist with the review and approval of project BoQs prepared by external consultants throughout the design evolution / phases.
• Evaluate construction packages BoQs as well as construction contract variation orders.
• Scrutinize construction material and labor costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals.
• Provide constructability, value engineering and cost feedback during design and throughout the project design evolution.
• Assist in preparing preliminary project budgets.
• Attend in the capacity of the QS Subject Matter Expert (SME) design review meetings, progress meetings, interface meetings, risk management meetings, construction meetings and testing and commissioning meetings.
• Assist in the Pre-development budgeting for new projects.
• Assist with the preparation and execution of design and construction contracts.
• Ensure that the Employer's requirements and standards are captured through the design development process.
• Assist in developing material standardization.
• Review construction plans and preparing quantity requirements.
• Liaise with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Interview and qualify of PMC QS candidates for the specific project need.

Academic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, engineering, management, civil /survey/mechanical engineer.
• Construction estimating or finance experienced is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Sound knowledge of construction.
• Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to organize, plan, and strategize.
• Experience using MS Office, AutoCAD (Revit is +).
• Excellent command of the English language; any other language will be considered as an asset.

Professional Experience:

• Experienced in working on multi-disciplinary Projects.
• Basic commercial awareness of working within design budgets, including project and product cost constraints, traceability of commercial variations and recovery of additional costs.
• knowledge of industry standards, Greek Building Regulations, Euro-codes, American and British Standards.
• Proven track record on completing projects.
