What you'll do

- Support emergency preparedness and coordinate regular drills
- Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement mindset across the project

About the job
The Health & Safety Senior Associate will be reporting to the Health & Safety Senior Manager.
Our new colleague in this position will be a Senior Health & Safety Engineer and will join the Site Management team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Implementing and monitoring health and safety management systems, policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local, national, and industry regulations as well as Ellinikon’s specific requirements.
Provides expert HS guidance to project management, contractors, and site teams, ensuring safe execution of complex, multi-disciplinary construction activities.
Minimizing risks and ensuring the well-being of all personnel involved in the affected project.
In detail, the Health & Safety Senior Associate shall be responsible for the following tasks:
Implement effectively the Health and Safety Management System towards excellent performance.
Liaise with clients and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with all legal and contractual safety obligations Monitor and analyze safety performance metrics, implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workplace safety.
Implement and oversee health and safety policies, procedures and compliance in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Monitors risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Support the H&S consultants providing direction and ensuring effective coordination and communication of safety initiatives.
Plan and perform regular site inspections, audits, and safety walks; identify non-conformities and ensure timely corrective actions.
Coordinate the investigation of incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; review the reports and the implementation of preventive measures.
Report any deficiencies that may put the project at risk not achieving the zero-tolerance H&S targets established for the overall construction program as well as individual projects.
Support the emergency preparedness and coordinate regular drills to ensure preparedness for potential incidents.
Promotes a strong safety culture and continuous improvement mindset across the project.
You will be a successful candidate for our job opening, if you can identify yourself with the following criteria:
Academic Qualifications:
B.S. Degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
Professional certification such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent.
Proficiency in MS Office
Confident in English (oral and written)
Professional Experience:
Minimum of 6 years of leading Health and Safety in high-risk construction projects.
Demonstrated personal and professional commitment to enforcing a Zero-Tolerance Health & Safety policy.
