The Indirect Procurement Buyer is responsible for sourcing and managing suppliers for non-production-related goods and services, including MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations), fleet management, office supplies, IT equipment, marketing services, travel, and facility management. The role ensures that procurement activities align with company objectives, deliver cost savings, and maintain high-quality standards while fostering strong supplier relationships. Additionally, the role involves optimizing fleet operations and ensuring the availability of critical MRO supplies to support business continuity.

What you’ll be doing:

  1. Strategic Sourcing:
  • Identify and evaluate suppliers for indirect procurement categories.
  • Conduct market research to benchmark costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize procurement processes.
  1. Supplier Management:
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve the best value.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure service quality and reliability.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or non-compliance.
  1. Procurement Operations:
  • Manage purchase requisitions and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide procurement support.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
  1. Cost Management:
  • Analyze spending patterns and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Track and report on savings achieved through procurement initiatives.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities for indirect procurement categories.
  1. Process Improvement:
  • Continuously improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions in procurement activities.
  • Leverage digital tools and systems to streamline procurement workflows.
  1. Risk Management:
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with supplier relationships and contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in procurement activities.

What we’d love for you to have:

We are interested in you as a person: your attitude, behaviors and values. As long as you have the willingness to learn anything you need for the role that you don't already have, we'd love to speak to you. If you have experience in the following areas – this is an added advantage:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in indirect categories
  • Proficiency in English is required
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g., SAP, Ariba)
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices and market trends
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
