As an IT Technician you will be responsible for ensuring operation of local infrastructure service. Duties include controlling local infrastructure service operations, acting as escalation manager to Regional or Central IT in case of business critical incidents, defining operations requirements and improvement actions, training and communicating with users and responding to IT requests from company employees.

What you’ll be doing:

• Manage local infrastructure
• Support local applications
• Support users
• Respond to tickets as dispatched by service desk
• Support the roll-out of new services, tools or standards, in close collaboration with Program INF at Central IT
• Training and communication
• Ensure the user community is aware of events, outages, etc.
• Provide training on IT infrastructure services and tools
• Enable knowledge sharing
• Promote the use of standard services
• Regular remote site check in
• Ensure compliance to group standards and license agreements
• Manage local stock of equipment (PC, peripherals) and issue/return/disposal
• Participate/support in negotiations with vendors in close corporation with local/regional/global purchaser

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
• Mid-Level IT Technician. 2-5 years of relevant experience
• CCNA certification is a plus
• Excellent command of English
• Comfort working in a team
• Good organization, time management and prioritization
• Efficient troubleshooting abilities
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Keen attention to detail
• Effective communication skills, including speaking, writing and active listening
• Great customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ease in mobility
