Group Procurement Logistics Services Manager (based Agios Athanasios, Thessaloniki)
Κey responsibilities
- Closely monitor the global 3rd party logistics services (3PL) market related to forwarding and warehousing solutions
- Develop and execute the procurement strategy for 3PL services in the Greek market, the subsidiaries and new focus markets
- Steer the decisions in regards to the mix between own fleet operations and 3PL services
- Continuous search of alternative 3PL partners
- Lead the RFQs, negotiation and evaluation process with the existing and new logistics partners
- Steer the contracting process in regards to the structure and the commercial terms in close collaboration with the legal team
- Monitor monthly performance of the contracted logistics partners
Candidate’s Profile
- Graduate from top tier university
- MBA would be a strong plus
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in leading logistics services procurement activities with deep knowledge of the global logistics industry
- Results driven personality with high leadership skills and strong track record in managing 3PL services partners
- Strategic thinking, business acumen and team spirit
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Proficient in English language
- Availability to travel internationally (25% of the time)
