Intellectica is recruiting on behalf of its client, a rapidly growing group of companies active in architecture, construction, and hospitality development, headquartered in Athens. The company is currently seeking an experienced Site Civil Engineer for a full-time, year-round position. The role will be based on-site in Koufonisia, supporting the construction of a high-end hospitality project currently in its concrete phase, with delivery expected by May. The successful candidate, reporting directly to the Lead Engineer, will act as the company’s on-site representative, ensuring quality, cost, and timeline adherence.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

• Maintaining a consistent on-site presence in Koufonisia, serving as the company’s primary representative to oversee project execution and ensure alignment with design specifications, timelines, and quality standards

• Supervising on-site construction activities to ensure accurate implementation of architectural and structural plans; validating that execution aligns with approved drawings and timelines, resolving discrepancies as needed

• Managing and coordinating multiple teams, crews, and subcontractors on-site, resolving technical issues as they arise

• Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards throughout the construction lifecycle

• Serving as the company’s on-site liaison, maintaining clear and effective communication with contractors, suppliers, and internal engineering teams

• Preparing and managing detailed project budgets and cost estimations for building works

• Collecting, evaluating, and negotiating subcontractor and supplier offers to ensure cost-effectiveness

• Monitoring project financials and ensuring alignment with company targets for cost and quality

• Tracking project milestones and construction progress using modern project management tools

• Providing regular updates to the central engineering team, flagging risks and proposing mitigation strategies

• Supporting documentation and reporting for internal and external stakeholders

• Traveling to other project sites within or outside Attica as required

• Any other tasks that may be required from time to time

Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related field

• PMP certification from PMI is a plus

• At least 5 years of proven experience in construction site management within a technical or construction company

• Proven experience managing medium to large-scale hospitality projects

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, structural works and site operations

• Solid understanding of budgeting and cost control in construction

• Strong proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, AutoCAD (or equivalent design software); SAP knowledge is a plus

• Valid driving license

• Fluency in both Greek and English (written and spoken)
