Intellectica is seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer on behalf of its client, a digital solutions company in the media-tech, publishing, and platform services space based in Athens, Greece. Known for its creative excellence in digital transformation, the company partners with leading media organizations to deliver high-impact, user-centric digital products. As part of its continued growth, the company is seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to take on a pivotal leadership role within the design team. Reporting to the Creative Director, the successful candidate will not only shape intuitive and visually compelling user experiences, but also mentor and guide a team of designers, ensuring design quality, consistency, and innovation across projects.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

• Managing and mentoring a small design team, fostering growth and maintaining high design standards

• Lead and contribute to all phases of the design process, from user research to final UI design

• Conducting user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and validate user experience improvements

• Develop user personas, information architecture, user flows, wireframes, and prototypes that translate complex requirements into intuitive user experiences

• Reviewing and refining deliverables to ensure high-quality output that meets brand standards and user needs

• Ensure designs adhere to responsive design principles, mobile app design standards, and accessibility best practices

• Collaborating directly with cross-functional teams, including developers and project managers to ensure seamless implementation of design solutions and resolve technical challenges

• Shaping and evolving design systems to support scalability, consistency, and efficiency across projects

• Staying up to date with industry trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve design processes and outcomes

• Any other task that may be required from time to time

Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in Design or a related field

• Proven experience in UI/UX design, ideally within a digital agency or media environment

• Proven ability to lead design teams or demonstrated potential to step into a leadership role

• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and usability best practices

• Demonstrated experience conducting user research and usability testing

• Excellent visual design skills with a solid grasp of color theory, typography, and layout principles

• Proven ability to create and manage design systems while ensuring media visuals and brand consistency

• Familiarity with responsive design, mobile app design guidelines, and accessibility design specifications and best practices

• Hands-on expertise with industry-standard tools, including Adobe Creative Suite and Figma

• Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end design work across web and mobile platforms

• Fluency in Greek and proficiency in English, both written and spoken
