What you'll do

Key activities and responsibilities of the role include:

Oversee IP Core network elements supporting mobile and fixed services, corporate access, retail networks, and associated servers
Ensure secure, reliable, and efficient connectivity between internal network nodes and external operators
Drive network performance, availability, scalability, and resilience, minimising downtime and service disruption
Ensure IP networks comply with relevant security standards, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and deliver timely, high-quality solutions
Manage the day-to-day operations of the IP Networks team, including resource planning, coaching, performance management, and development
Manage budgets, define objectives, and monitor KPIs to achieve operational excellence and cost efficiency
Stay informed on emerging technologies and industry trends to support continuous improvement and long-term network strategy
Professional experience & qualifications of successful candidate:
MQF Level 6 qualification (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a leadership or management role within a network or telecommunications environment
Strong technical expertise in IP networking, including routing, switching, firewalls, and fixed access technologies
Proven experience managing IP Core network elements supporting mobile and/or fixed services is highly desirable
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop technical teams
Solid understanding of network security standards, industry best practices, and regulatory compliance requirements
