About the job

Intellectica is recruiting a Mechanical Design Engineer on behalf of its client, a dynamic and growing engineering and development company specialising in industrial and infrastructure projects across Greece. The company focuses primarily on technical and industrial facilities, including warehouses and large-scale installations, working with both private and public sector clients. Based in Elefsina, Attiki, and reporting directly to the Project Manager and company ownership depending on the project, the successful candidate will support the design and implementation of mechanical systems, gaining hands-on exposure across a variety of projects.

 

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

 

  • Contribute to the design and delivery of mechanical (mainly HVAC) systems for industrial projects, including warehouses and technical facilities

  • Support the development of mechanical studies throughout different project stages, working closely with more experienced engineers to translate project requirements into practical design solutions

  • Prepare and update technical drawings and layouts using AutoCAD, ensuring designs are clear, accurate and aligned with project specifications

  • Assist with basic engineering calculations and equipment selection, building your technical understanding of mechanical systems and their real-world application

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project execution and alignment across design and implementation phases

  • Contribute to the preparation of technical documentation, supporting the overall delivery of each project

  • Gain practical exposure through occasional site visits, helping you better understand how designs are applied during construction and operation

 

Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:

 

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (University level)

  • 1–4 years of professional experience in mechanical design, ideally within engineering consultancies or technical project environments

  • Experience or exposure to industrial projects (e.g. warehouses, logistics facilities, production sites)

  • Exposure to HVAC systems, through design work, studies, or project involvement

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD for the preparation of mechanical drawings (experience with Revit or similar tools will be considered a plus)

  • Basic understanding of mechanical design principles, with willingness to further develop technical skills

  • Ability to work in an office-based role in Aspropyrgos

  • Fluency in Greek and English (written and verbal)
