What you'll do
- Analyze business requirements and turn them into scalable, secure backend solutions
- Contribute to microservices design decisions, including API contracts, data models and service interactions
- Support the platform’s migration from Java 17 to Java 21
- Design, develop and maintain RESTful services and web applications using Java and Spring Boot
- Build high-performance components using multithreading and concurrency practices
- Integrate relational databases through Hibernate/JPA
- Work with event-driven and containerized infrastructure
- Write clean, maintainable and well-documented code
- Develop and maintain JUnit unit and integration tests
- Participate in code reviews
- Troubleshoot, debug and resolve issues across environments
- Collaborate with developers, QA, DevOps and product stakeholders in an Agile environment
- Provide technical support to internal teams and external customers
- Share knowledge and keep up with new technologies
Key requirements
- 3+ years' experience
- Java backend development, Java and Spring Boot
- RESTful APIs, API design and Microservices architecture
- Multithreading and concurrent programming
- Relational databases and Hibernate/JPA
- JUnit, Git and Maven
- Debugging and troubleshooting, Agile software development, and Security and compliance awareness
- Computer Science / Software Engineering / Any Field
