Intellectica is recruiting a Commissioning Engineer on behalf of its client, a well‑established industrial organization with a strong international presence in the design and manufacturing of high‑specification pumping systems for infrastructure, energy, and industrial applications. The company operates in a demanding, project‑driven manufacturing environment, delivering tailor‑made mechanical solutions for large‑scale projects worldwide, while consistently investing in engineering excellence, quality, and continuous improvement. Based in Kryoneri, Greece and reporting directly to the Technical / Installations Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that all systems are delivered and operated in full compliance with approved technical specifications, project requirements, and the company’s standards for quality, safety and performance.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
Overseeing the on‑site installation, commissioning and start‑up of pumping systems at customer facilities, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, project requirements and applicable standards
Acting as the main technical interface on site, coordinating with internal engineering teams, production, contractors and customer representatives throughout project execution
Executing day‑to‑day commissioning activities, including pre‑commissioning checks, functional testing, system alignment and performance verification
Identifying, analyzing and resolving technical issues during installation and operation, providing hands‑on troubleshooting and corrective actions where required
Supporting Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), contributing to smooth system validation and customer sign‑off
Ensuring that all systems are fully operational, safe and optimized prior to final handover to the client
Preparing and maintaining commissioning reports, test records, punch lists and other technical documentation related to site activities
Providing structured technical feedback to engineering and production teams to support continuous improvement in system design, installation practices and commissioning procedures
Adhering strictly to health, safety and quality policies during all on‑site activities
Any other task that may be required from time-to-time
Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field
At least 2 years of experience in commissioning, installation or field engineering roles within industrial or infrastructure environments
Previous exposure to pumping systems, hydraulic equipment or similar installations will be considered a strong asset
Solid understanding of mechanical systems, rotating equipment and commissioning methodologies
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs and project documentation
Fluency in both Greek and English
Willingness to travel frequently in Greece and internationally, depending on project needs
