What you'll do
- Define and execute business development strategy targeting government clients in defense and security sectors

- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities and report insights to senior leadership
- Manage pipeline, reporting, and forecasting through CRM tools and business systems
Key requirements
- 5+ years' experience
- Business Development and Client Acquisition in international B2G environment
- Contract Negotiations and Strategic Planning skills
- Relationship Management with public sector and defense clients
- Proficiency in CRM Tools including Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, and Asana
- Strong Communication, Presentation, and Negotiation Skills
- Fluent Greek and English Language

Intellectica is recruiting a Business Development Manager, on behalf of its client, a dynamic and fast-growing technology company, specializing in the design and manufacturing of advanced IoT sensing solutions. Based in Attiki, and reporting directly to Vice President of Cluster, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in end-to-end business development activities, combining client acquisition, relationship management, and contract negotiations, while operating in a highly international environment with frequent travel.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
Define and execute business development strategy targeting government (B2G) clients within defense and security sectors
Identify, qualify and actively pursue new business opportunities, building a strong international pipeline
Manage the full business development lifecycle end-to-end, from market mapping and client engagement to deal execution and contract closure
Lead and support complex commercial negotiations, ensuring successful structuring and execution of contracts
Develop and manage long-term relationships with key decision-makers across ministries, armed forces, and public sector bodies
Prepare and present business proposals, tenders, and presentations
Represent the organization in client meetings, exhibitions and industry events
Collaborate closely with technical teams to align solutions (IoT sensing technologies) with client requirements
Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities, providing insights to senior leadership
Ensure accurate pipeline management, reporting and forecasting through CRM (Microsoft Dynamics) and internal tools (Asana, SAP)
Any other task that may be required from time to time
Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Telecommunications, Aerospace, Systems Engineering or related field)
Minimum 5 years of experience in end-to-end business development, including deal ownership and closing
Previous experience within the defense or aerospace sector is preferred; candidates with relevant experience in IoT or security technologies will also be considered
Experience managing relationships with B2G clients or supporting projects within the public sector
Knowledge of Electronic Warfare (EW) is a strong plus
Familiarity with CRM tools (preferably Microsoft Dynamics) and business systems (SAP, Asana or similar)
Willingness to travel extensively on an international level
Proficient in Greek and English, both written and verbal
