Based in Athens, Greece and reporting to the Head of Accounting, the successful candidate will play a key role in managing accounting entries, ensuring accurate month-end and year-end closings, and maintaining organized financial records. This position also involves supporting the accounting function, ensuring compliance with company policies and financial procedures.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

• Processing and recording accounting entries for Group entities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to relevant standards
• Maintaining and organizing financial records to ensure proper archiving
• Reconciling accounts receivables, payable, and bank statements
• Supporting the preparation of month-end, quarterly, half-year and year-end closings, including statutory audit processes
• Assisting in the preparation of financial reports and analyses as required
• Contributing to the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and system enhancements
• Any other task may be required from time to time

Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:

• Bachelor’s or Technological Educational Institute degree in Accounting & Finance or a related field
• 1–3 years of experience in accounting an in-house or consulting role; prior experience in the insurance sector is considered a plus
• Proficiency with accounting software; experience with ERP systems, ideally SOFTONE or Atlantis, is considered a strong plus
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
• Military obligations fulfilled, where applicable
• Fluency in Greek and English (both written and verbal)
