facilities management executive

Reporting to the Facilities & Expansion Manager you are responsible and accountable to: 

•  Oversee and coordinate the facilities matrix management of maintenance teams across all stores and facilities

• Monitor maintenance and cleaning activities, ensuring efficient contract management of third-party contractors and partners

• Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental, and technical regulations

• Manage budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities

• Collaborate with the Group Procurement Department as needed

•  Conduct regular site visits, document findings, and implement necessary actions

• Maintain and update all relevant records related to Facilities Management (FM) and Energy matters

• Support the development and implementation of a detailed energy optimization action plan

• Identify opportunities to reduce the company’s carbon footprint and enhance sustainability

• Implement projects in accordance with the approved RRF plan

• Support the development of the company’s sustainability strategy and promote sustainable practices and solutions

• Ensure adherence to IKEA guidelines and best practices in facilities management

 What You Bring

•  Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or a related field

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in facilities management, maintenance, or a similar role

• Strong knowledge of safety, environmental, and technical regulations

• Experience in budget management, contract negotiations, and cost optimization

• Ability to work with third-party contractors and manage service agreements

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Strong organizational and project management abilities

• Knowledge of energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives is a plus

• Effective communication and collaboration skills
