is searching for aDESIGN ENGINEER (HEAT TRANSFER LAB),withastrongtechnicalbackground,creativemindset,and a passion for continuous improvement ,tojoinourdynamic Technology and R&DDepartmentinOinofyta,Voiotia,Greece.
Role Description
Key Responsibilities:
• Familiarization with the new Thermal Performance Laboratory for Outer Finned Tubes.
• Management and operation of the existing IGT Tube Thermal Performance Laboratory.
• Conducts thermal performance measurements of tubes, including sample preparation, equipment setup and calibration, operation of control software, and standardized recording and storage of results.
• Performs basic maintenance tasks on laboratory equipment, ensures its proper functioning, and contributes to equipment improvement activities.
• Communicates with system manufacturers for troubleshooting and upgrades. Plans, coordinates, and oversees work carried out by third-party technicians (HALCOR maintenance teams or external contractors).
• Ensures scientific accuracy and reliability of measurements through thorough evaluation of results and prepares technical reports for clients.
• Creates and maintains comparative performance charts for each product and refrigerant used.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (University or Polytechnic), Physical Sciences, or Technological Applications.
• Ability to operate complex laboratory equipment.
• Strong manual assembly skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent command of the English language (written and spoken).
• Specialization in refrigeration cycles and heat transfer phenomena.
• Experience in the HVACR sector and/or heat transfer is desirable.
• Industrial experience is considered a plus.
• Very good computer skills, especially in MS Office applications. Highly energetic & motivated
• Strong ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams
