We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Actuarial Consultant to join our Insurance Advisory team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-impact actuarial and insurance advisory services, supporting clients across a wide spectrum of regulatory, strategic, and business transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, sound judgement, and the ability to translate complex quantitative insights into clear, actionable recommendations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced actuarial professional to work on complex projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to shaping the future of the insurance industry.
The key responsibilities of this role will include:
Lead and contribute to a broad range of insurance advisory engagements, covering regulatory compliance, strategic initiatives, and business transformation projects across the insurance value chain
Apply actuarial principles and methodologies to design and implement tailored business solutions aligned with clients’ strategic objectives
Manage insurance-related projects end-to-end, including planning, execution, review, and completion, while ensuring timely and high-quality delivery
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders through frequent interaction and effective communication
Prepare and deliver high-quality client presentations, reports, and technical documentation
Collaborate closely with professionals across different teams and disciplines, both internally and externally, to deliver integrated and holistic solutions
Uphold the highest standards of professional conduct, integrity, and business ethics
Stay up to date with emerging trends, regulatory developments, and best practices in the insurance and financial services sectors
To be successful at this role you need the following (hard and soft skills):
Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or another quantitative discipline; a Master’s degree will be considered an asset
3+ years of professional experience in actuarial or insurance advisory roles, ideally within a consulting firm or insurance organization, with increasing responsibility in client-facing projects
Progress towards actuarial qualification with the Hellenic Actuarial Society or another internationally recognized actuarial body; qualified actuaries are strongly encouraged to apply
Proven experience in one or more of the following areas:
Reserving under Solvency II and current accounting standards
Capital Management
Asset-Liability Management (ALM)
Solid understanding of insurance principles, actuarial techniques, and regulatory frameworks (e.g. Solvency II, IFRS17). Prior experience on IFRS17 will be considered a strong asset
Strong technical skills, including proficiency in actuarial modelling software and tools (e.g. Prophet, Moses, ReMetrica, R, Python, SQL, Power BI or similar tools)
Strong analytical and data skills, including experience with large datasets and advanced modelling techniques (descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics)
Experience in life or non‑life actuarial work is an advantage
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, client-focused insights
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities with strong attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality services and practical solutions in a consulting environment
Strong work ethic, sense of ownership, and commitment to professional excellence
High motivation for continuous learning, career progression, and professional development
