About the job
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Regulatory Compliance/ Legal Consultant with solid experience in banking compliance and a strong understanding of current and emerging regulatory frameworks. This role will support clients—primarily financial institutions—by delivering practical, risk-focused compliance solutions and advising on the impact of regulatory developments.
The key responsibilities of this role will include:
Analyze Regulations & configure requirements considering regulatory dependencies ( PSD, MiFID II, Market Abuse Regulation (MAR), Conflict of Interest, Outsourcing, GDPR, DORA, AI-related regulations or other related with Financial Institutions regulations
Assist in developing and updating compliance policies, procedures, and operational manuals.
Conduct regulatory monitoring of relevant European and international legislation (e.g., ESMA, EBA, ECB, FATF), and assess their impact on clients.
Interpret complex regulations to clear requirements & provide regulatory advisory
Prepare presentations
Translate regulatory developments into clear, actionable recommendations and support clients in their implementation efforts.
Assist in regulatory gap assessments, compliance risk assessments, and internal reporting for senior stakeholders.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated and client-specific solutions.
Build strong relationships with clients and serve as a go-to advisor for regulatory compliance needs.
Participate in business development, including regulatory research, proposal preparation, and thought leadership content.
To be successful at this role you need the following (hard and soft skills):
3 - 5 years of professional experience in regulatory compliance, internal audit, or risk advisory—preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
Bachelor’s degree inLaw. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Professional certifications (e.g., CIA, CFE, CAMS, ICA) are highly valued.
Strong working knowledge of European regulations
Familiarity with European regulations is an advantage.
Demonstrated ability to interpret and monitor regulatory changes and assess their operational impact.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English.
Strong analytical and reporting skills; experience in preparing structured compliance documentation.
Proficiency in MS Office; exposure to GRC tools or compliance monitoring platforms is a plus.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver quality outcomes under tight timelines.
