About the job

As a Front-end Engineer at Grant Thornton Greece, you will play a key outsourced team member in a role in designing, developing, and delivering modern web applications that support business-critical initiatives across our consulting and advisory practices. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will build intuitive, scalable, and high-performing user interfaces using modern frontend technologies, contributing to innovative digital solutions that create tangible business value for our clients.

The key responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Design, develop and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications using React.js and TypeScript.

  • Build responsive, reusable and accessible user interfaces, ensuring an exceptional user experience across devices and browsers.

  • Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and backend microservices.

  • Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers to translate designs and business requirements into intuitive user experiences.

  • Work with backend engineers and DevOps teams to support seamless application deployment and integration within cloud environments.

  • Participate in effort estimation, sprint planning and technical design discussions, contributing to project delivery timelines and priorities.

  • Troubleshoot, debug and resolve frontend issues, ensuring application reliability, performance and maintainability.

  • Write clean, well-documented and testable code following modern frontend development best practices and coding standards.

  • Identify and implement modern technologies, tools and development practices that improve product quality and team productivity.

  • Collaborate effectively with Business Analysis, Architecture and Project Management teams to deliver solutions that align with business objectives and user needs.

To be successful at this role you need the following (hard and soft skills):

  • 2+ years of experience in Software engineering (React ecosystem)

  • Strong hands-on experience with React.js, Typescript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS

  • Solid understanding of Relational databases (Postgres, MySQL)

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ownership mindset

  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of features or projects

  • Strong communication skills (team and stakeholder level)

  • Ability to coordinate across multiple teams

  • Proactive attitude, identify problems and drive solutions
