What you'll do
- Lead design and implementation of backend services, business logic, and system integrations with Java and Spring Boot
- Architect, build, and maintain high-quality REST APIs with reliability and scalability
- Review, refactor, and optimize existing applications for performance and maintainability
- Perform technical analysis, identify root causes, and provide sustainable solutions
- Review and approve code contributions enforcing best practices
- Design and implement automated tests to ensure system reliability
- Collaborate with Solution Architects to influence system design and architecture
- Lead modernization initiatives including legacy system migration and deployment pipeline improvements
- Provide technical leadership during incident resolution and performance investigations
- Document technical decisions, architectural diagrams, API specs, and guidelines
- Collaborate with DevOps to improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment monitoring
- Ensure applications comply with security standards and operational guidelines
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers supporting their technical growth
- Identify opportunities for team and process improvements and contribute to development practices enhancement
Key requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Java and Spring Boot ecosystem
- Expertise in designing and building REST APIs
- Knowledge of SQL, JPA/Hibernate, and relational databases
- Experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, Kafka, and RabbitMQ
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices
- Hands-on experience with Docker and cloud platforms
- Strong understanding of software architecture and security and compliance
