What you'll do
- Contribute to backend features and services development using Java and Spring Boot
- Implement clean, modular, and maintainable code following coding standards and design guidelines
- Support the development of RESTful APIs with input validation and error handling
- Analyze existing systems and assist in refactoring or optimization
- Write unit tests with JUnit and Mockito to ensure functionality and reliability
- Investigate defects, debug issues, and contribute to troubleshooting
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation including API specs and service descriptions
- Follow version control procedures using Git for collaboration
- Collaborate with senior developers and cross-functional teams to implement solutions
- Ensure adherence to development processes, coding guidelines, and security practices
- Actively learn and adopt new technologies and coding techniques
Key requirements
- Strong knowledge of Java fundamentals including OOP, collections, generics, exceptions, and functional programming
- Experience with Spring Boot framework and dependency injection
- Basic SQL skills and understanding of relational databases
- Proficiency in unit testing using JUnit and Mockito
- Understanding of Git and version control workflows
- Knowledge of software engineering principles such as clean code and layered architecture
- Ability to write clear technical documentation
- Problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn and collaborate
